Mardi Gras Entertainment

Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp | Entertainment

2011 introduced a re-vamped concept for Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp, diverging from the “bringing the bayou to Gaslamp” theme of years’ past, and embracing the roots of what Fat Tuesday is all about – a day of utter indulgence and revelry. Boasting three outdoor mega-stages, the hottest headlining DJs and roving entertainment, the 2011 Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp brought 35,000 revelers to the streets of the Gaslamp Quarter.

On February 21, 2012, Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp is going bigger and better, with not three, but four stages and elaborately themed areas, with a different look and edge to satisfy your every desire. Electrifying video projections and lighting elements will bring the historic buildings of the Gaslamp to life. Expect exciting and enticing performances with some of the biggest names in the DJ world, live bands, acrobatics and dance troupes and more. This is Fat Tuesday like you’ve never seen it before. This is Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp.
